Personnel Management Software - Personnel Decision Making Support

Business Challenge

Central Bank of Russian Federation places emphasis on personnel management. The price of a human mistake can be very high in the banking business. That is why all the candidates pass tough selection. Along with professional skills and biographical particulars psychological characteristics play an important role when hiring employees. Almost all personnel software does not pay enough attention to this aspect. Tula Branch of Central Bank of Russia requested for the program that could help personnel department to manage employees using they psychological profile.

System Functionality

During the two-year development process a state-of-the-art system was developed. This application represents the junction between the psychology, IT and personnel management. Leading personnel psychologists helped programmers in the development process. Each module was tested thoroughly on real data and on real persons. The following features were implemented in this system:

  • Customizable psychological and professional profile of each office position;
  • Customizable psychological and professional profile of each banking profession;
  • Checking of the candidate's compliance with the target position or profession;
  • Management of common personnel data including biographical data, career progress, etc.;
  • Selection of employees groups according to common psychological characteristics;
  • Conducting of psychological tests for candidates and obligatory half-yearly tests for employees;
  • Customizable set of tests for different positions and professions;
  • Monitoring the new employee's impact on the psychological portrait of the whole department.

Summary

The Personnel Decision Making Support System was implemented in the Tula Branch of Central Bank of Russia and successfully used. New capabilities of this system allowed personnel department to automate process of psychological tests conducting and their subsequent usage in the routine work. Currently all the employees perform tests on a half-yearly basis. Their profiles are analyzed and objectionable trends of their state are monitored. Thus the chance of failure is decreased and the heads can predict behavior of their employees. At the same time it is quite clear whether a new person is compatible with the rest of a new team or not. This helps to prevent difficulties between department members
