Business Challenges
One of our clients required the system allowing creation of virtual communities in the network. These communities had to exchange information using modern technologies such as video, audio and real time messaging. One of the tasks included development of gates for ICQ, SMS messages and other message exchange systems. This task was set for intracorporate message exchange but the gate was designed to support connection with other applications.
Summary
As the result of the development process we presented the client application - ActiveX-component placed on the company's corporate site. A user connected to the server and got the capability to send text messages, have voice full-duplex communication and take part in videoconferences. We also implemented Instant Messenger application support as the additional functionality and developed the Microsoft Internet Explorer plug-in that completely carried out all the tasks.
